Description:
An annual award to a trainee forensic pathologist, radiologist, anthropologist or imaging scientist to attend the annual scientific meeting of ISFRI and present a scientific paper.
Documentation:
Applicants must provide documentation of their trainee status by way of a letter of support from their academic supervisor.
Requirements:
Candidates must submit an abstract of original scientific research in forensic imaging to the Congress scientific committee for consideration (stating that it is for ISFRI prize consideration). The scientific committee of each Annual Congress will prepare a short list of the best papers based on originality and scientific merit. From that short list, the current ISFRI Board Chairperson will make a final decision on the recipient.
Benefits:
The prize will consist of a subscription to the Annual Congress and €1000. The recipient will be expected to organize travel, accommodation and any additional expenses. The winning paper will be given as an oral presentation at the ISFRI Congress and will be acknowledged in a banner headline as the ISFRI prize winner in a written paper to be submitted to JOFRI following the Congress.

Art Meets Science!
The ‘Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Klinisch-Forensische
Bildgebung’ has published an amazing videoclip
‘MRI-Sound of Science’. The song is made using sounds
generated by the MR sequences. DJ Kaleeh used these sound
clips to create a deep house track. The hip-hop group ‘One

Innovation Through Integration
The East Midlands Forensic Pathology Unit, based at the
University of Leicester, has been shortlisted for the award
category 'Innovation Through Integration'. Their innovation
is a computed tomography (CT) service, which is an
alternative to the traditional invasive autopsy requested by
Her Majesty’s (HM) Coroners for the investigation of
sudden natural death. Rather than invasive techniques, the
service uses advanced imaging techniques during post
mortems.
